Jimmy began consulting in luxury real estate development in 2003, after personally investing in rental properties on Oahu. A licensed real estate broker, he performs the role of chief operations officer of our developments from start to finish. In early 2024 he completed the development of our fourth Mahakea luxury beachfront estate, “Hale Makani Kai” on Oahu’s north shore, which sold in June for $4,850,000. This project started with the purchase of 2.5 acres on Mahakea Beach and subsequent subdivision and CPR into 6 lots. Over the past decade, he managed the construction and sale of three previous estates on these lots, which sold for a total dollar volume of $16.7 million. He also managed the subdivision, development of a new estate home, and the sale of three beachfront lots in Kailua, which sold for $18.8 million. Prior to that his development projects included three homes in Portlock, which sold for $12.9 million and three homes on Kahala Beach which sold for $37.8 million. Jimmy’s experience has kept these projects on time and on budget. Jimmy’s interest is in seeking undervalued land opportunities and transforming them to vibrant luxury properties. Jimmy performs investment return analysis and originates proformas for our development team and our investors on our acquisitions. He has produced innovative market strategies for the company and generated private placement opportunities to raise capital. Upon completion of each project, he provides a unique marketing vision to the sale of new luxury estates. In addition to strategic planning and negotiating debt financing, he enjoys the daily interactions with various design and construction professionals, and the dynamic atmosphere of managing residential real estate development in Hawaii. Jimmy is a 2004 graduate of the University of Hawaii MBA, and holds a BA in Economics from the College of William & Mary. He was a logistics officer in the US Army and deployed with the logistical task force under the Special Forces in Southeast Asia. After leaving the military as a Captain, he worked for ESPN and the producers of the annual Hawaii Bowl. He enjoys camping, fishing, cycling, running, and traveling. He is a former professional triathlete, and currently participates in local trail races. A lover of the outdoors, he is a volunteer instructor and board member at the Hawaii Nature Center.
